Many served as freelance law enforcers, and were respected as Jedi that could be approached with any problem. Ch'gally served as a member of the Army of Light and a Jedi recruiter with the Acquisition Divisionand he believed that the differences between his line of thought and the Guardians, Consulars, and Sentinels was distinct enough to warrant its own branch of study.ĭriven by Ch'gally's vision, Sentinels flourished in the postwar era that followed the Ruusan Reformations and spread into the galaxy, where they became some of the Order's most recognizable members. While it was unclear when the Sentinels became their own unique discipline, rather then a specialization within another school of thought, some historians described Master Morrit Ch'gally as the founder of the practical discipline. Jedi Knights pursued the Sentinel field of study as a specialization of their specific discipline, in the same way that a Consular might become a healeror a Guardian might aspire to be a Peacekeeper. These Jedi were more service-oriented, seeking out cities rather than temples, crowds over solitude. Within the Jedi Order, the spirit of the Jedi Sentinel had always existed, with many Guardians and Consulars building a strong connection to the galactic public whom the Order professed to protect.
While the role of the Sentinels within the Jedi Order had remained largely consistent throughout its history, the branch of study was first documented by the Sentinel Jedi recruiter Morrit Ch'gally in the text The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force. These skills tended to take the forefront in their middle-road approach to problems while a Guardian might bash down a locked door and a Consular might simply knock, a Sentinel would instead use equipment available or ingenuity to pick the lock.
While they possessed considerable combat skills and had somewhat extensive knowledge of the ForceSentinels blended both schools of teaching and amplified them with a series of non-Force skills, such as in the fields of security, computers, stealth techniques, demolitions, repair, or medicine. Talk to them and then talk to Atton and the conversation should lead to you turning Atton into a Jedi Sentinel.A Jedi Sentinel was the name given to one of the three distinct schools of thought of the Jedi that sought a balance between the two other branches, the Consulars and the Guardians. Go to the Refugee Sector of Nar Shaddaa with Atton in your party and wander around until the two Twi’Lek show up. ATTONĪtton is the easiest to turn into a Jedi. That conversation should lead to Handmaiden becoming a Jedi Guardian.
Now go back and talk to Handmaiden and tell her that you want to talk about her Mother. Now talk to Kreia again and Kreia should start talking about how much time you are spending with Handmaiden. End the conversation after this dialogue. With the Sparring Matches done and all of the conversations done you need to go talk to Kreia and ask Kreia why she doesn’t like Handmaiden. Make sure to talk to her again about fighting after beating her 3 times and she will teach you a power that adds you Wisdom Attribute to your Defense Raring (very very very very useful!) You will go through 3 Sparring Matches and GAIN INFLUENCE with each victory. You have the option to Spar with Handmaiden by talking to her and asking her if she can teach you any fighting moves. You can talk to Handmaiden about her name and you can get several Light Side Points from this particular conversation.
Again, choose nice replies and you should gain Influence with her. In another conversation you should have the option to ask Handmaiden about her Mother. During this conversation you should gain Positive Influence and Light Side Points with her as long as you are nice to her. To start, talk to Handmaiden and ask her why she looks different. This ensures you will GAIN Influence with her and also gain a lot of Light Side Points. NOTE: Always try to choose the nicest responses when talking to Handmaiden. It is easiest to wait until Level 18 to talk to Handmaiden when you are on the Ebon Hawk because if you are level 18 you can do all her Dueling Matches and also turn her into a Jedi pretty quickly. This guide should help you navigate some of the conversations to help you gain influence so you can get your companions to become Jedi. You can also train some of your companions to become JEDI. In Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords you can learn different things from your companions.
